I was watching BBC Breakfast News this morning and Declan was on talking about the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Now obviously just looking at who is at the forum kind of tells you that the big names in business already know the importance of networking and just getting together to kick some tyres. One comment that Declan relayed back from the conference from one of the attendess was…
“There’s so many good people here, most of who have some great ideas for your business. In fact, the idea is so great that you didn’t even know it until you bumped into that person by accident.”
So that’s one I’m going to try and slip into the conversations I have with people about social networking. Social networking is essential the same thing anyway. Only you don’t need to have a lot of money and fly to fancy hotels to do it. All you need is an internet connection, a few very simple web tools and a personality that someone else out there is interested in.
